Rudolf Nureyev Dance Foundation will provide a $5,000 grant to City of Angels Ballet in support of our LAUSD Outreach Program serving schools in the Los Angeles Area.  We look forward to receiving this grant in January 2008.  Thanks to this great foundation for supporting the passion, vision, and success of City of Angels Ballet and recognizing our commitment to this great classical art!

UNIVERSAL’S “DISCOVER A STAR” FOUNDATION
               AWARDS  $25,000  TO  CAB


Universal Studios Hollywood’s “Discover A Star Foundation” has awarded a $25,000 grant to City of Angels Ballet in support of our recruitment program for inner-city youth.

"You and your staff are to be commended for all that you do,” says Discover A Star’s Chairman of the Board, Larry Kurzweil, “and Universal is proud to join forces with City of Angels Ballet to help provide children with the hope of a more positive future."

CAB’s recruitment program is a corollary of our Education Outreach for Los Angeles inner-city schools, which has introduced ballet and classical music to 15,000 young students.

“During our Fine Arts interactive presentations, we can identify boys and girls who express an interest in and may have aptitude for ballet,” says Mario Nugara, CAB founder and Artistic Director.”

Nearly 1,000 children, many of whom live below the poverty line, have received free ballet instruction at the CAB Academy.

CAB would like to thank Universal Studios Hollywood’s, Discover A Star Foundation, its Chairman of the Board Larry Kurzweil, and all who made this generous grant possible.
